The pipeline is constructed from 24-inch carbon steel, buried underground, and thermally insulated with polyurethane foam. Electrical heat tracing (EHT) and bulk heaters maintain the crude oil above 50°C to prevent wax formation and ensure smooth flow . Design pressures vary between 9.46 MPa and 16.7 MPa, and the pipeline adheres to American Society of Mechanical Engineers standards. Certain pumping stations along the route are permanently manned, while others are unmanned, optimizing operational efficiency .Fiber Optic Cable InfrastructureTanzania is also expanding its fiber optic networks, which are categorized into core, backbone, and access/last mile networks . Core networks connect international submarine cables, backbone networks link national service providers, and access networks connect end users. Fiber optic cables can be installed underground, aerial, or submarine, depending on environmental and business requirements .
