Multimode Fiber Spatial Filtering
We show that modal and chromatic dispersions in fiber lasers can be counteracted by strong spatial and spectral filtering. Multimode fiber (MMF) lasers are emerging as a remarkable testbed to study nonlinear spatiotemporal physics with potential applications spanning from high energy pulse generation, precision measurement to nonlinear microscopy.
